    The sun is a-shining to welcome the day,

    \nThe folk are all singing so merry and gay,
    \nHeigh-ho …\u00a0 \u00a0 Come to the Fair
    \nAll the stalls on the green are so fine as can be
    \nWith trinkets and tokens so pretty to see,
    \nSo its come then, maidens and men,
    \nTo the Fair in the pride of the morning.
    \nSo deck yourselves out in your finest array,
    \nWith a Heigh-Ho\u00a0 …\u00a0 \u00a0 Come to the Fair.<\/p>\n

    The fiddlers are playing the tune that you know; etc.
    \nThe drums are all beating, away let us go, etc.
    \nThere’ll be racing and chasing from morning to night.
    \nAnd roundabouts turning to left and to right,
    \nSo its come then, maidens and men,
    \nTo the Fair in the pride of the morning.
    \nSo lock up your house, there’ll be plenty of fun, etc.<\/p>\n

    For love making too, if so be you’ve a mind, etc.
    \nFor hearts that are happy are loving and kind, etc.
    \nIf “Haste to the Wedding”, and fiddles should play,
    \nI warrant you’ll dance to the end of the day, —
