April 7 – Miss [Abby] Christensen<\/a> arrived with friends, Miss Putnam and Miss Palmer, for the weekend; The Choir sand the complete “Olivet to Calvary.”
April 9 – Easter
April 10 – Dancing program began; continues until May Day.
April 15 – Student and workers hike toward Line Fork and wiener roast picnic. Movies at Laurel House: “Odysseus” and Mountain Life Goes On”; dancing party.
April 16 – Softball games.
April 18 – Work day; games on the playground in afternoon, English country dance in evening.
April 20 – Senior plays: “The Valiant” and “The Red Lamp” in Community House at Big Laurel.
April 21 – Miss Christensen, Miss Ayers, Dr. and Mrs. Wilmer S. Lehman<\/a> and 6 students left for Folk Festival in Berea, KY.
April 23 – Dr. Muelder, Berea College, talked in Chapel; helped win a softball game.
April 24 – Seniors pre-presented plays to an audience in Loyall, KY.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

INFIRMARY REPORT FOR MARCH – 22 colds, costing a total of $50; Maxine Holbrook and Delia Taylor convalescing from appendectomies; Beatrice Pennington recovering from leg injury and burns; Missionary ladies are planning a clinic at Bledsoe, conducted by Dr. Lehman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
