Elwood Carr Plant Studies Center<\/a> established in Draper Building.<\/span><\/p>\n G.E.D. program at PMSS, Co-sponsored by Harlan County Board of Education, Southeast Community College and PMSS.<\/span><\/p>\n 4 Elderhostels held at PMSS, 2 sponsored by PMSS & 2 by Berea College.<\/span><\/p>\n Alumni Work Week-end, May 24-27, Edible Plants Workshop May 31, June 2, Appalachian Family Week July 7-13, Medicinal Plants Week-end August 2-4.<\/span><\/p>\n Work on updating water system continued.<\/span><\/p>\n James Crase was named to Board of Trustees. Francis Hutchins resigned from Board, and was named Honorary Trustee. Jack Martin was named Alumni Representative to Board. Ruth Shuler Dieter<\/a> became Chairman of the Advisory Council.<\/span><\/p>\n The maintenance staff continued work on the water system.<\/span><\/p>\n In summer, 1985, a group of 12 Pine Mountain Country Dancers, plus 3 adults, travelled to Denmark on a folk dance exchange.<\/span><\/p>\n Bell-Harlan County Upward Bound program housed at PMSS in conjunction with Southeast Community College.<\/span><\/p>\n
