Practically all medical equipment was made available to Red Bird Hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n Ruby Lanier, Bookkeeper for 15 years, Harriet Turner, Dietitian for 11 years, and Alma Tipton, Teacher for 5 years, retired at the end of the school year.<\/span><\/p>\n 2 members of the Boy Scout troop received “Life Scout” rating; 6 were \u201cStar Scouts\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n The 4-H Club raised plants for sale to local gardeners. Election Day featured the first use of voting machines at the polling place on Pine Mountain campus.<\/span><\/p>\n The two Community Councils were instrumental in securing telephone service for the community.<\/span><\/p>\n
