The 1961\u00a0PMSS Calendar is again the work of Mary Rogers. In this small card she incorporates many of the tree and plant species that can be found at Pine Mountain Settlement School and maps her drawings to the seasons and months associated with the\u00a0trees and plants.<\/p>\n

Mary’s close observation of the environment grew into a mission to share the rich biodiversity of the Pine Mountain area with others and by 1973, Mary had been instrumental in helping to steer a pilot environmental education program at Pine Mountain into being. That program is still offered as part of the rich programming of the school.<\/p>\n
