RIGHTS AND REPRODUCTION FEE SCHEDULE:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pine Mountain Settlement School does not release original material for reproduction by users. Where appropriate, digital file copies will be supplied to the requestor. Pine Mountain Settlement School reserves the right to withhold permission for reproduction of any material. If the material is judged to be physically at risk in the reproduction process, the material will not be duplicated. A courtesy copy at no cost to Pine Mountain is requested of any publication resulting from use of our collections.<\/p>\n

In all cases, it is the researcher’s obligation to determine and satisfy copyright or other use restrictions when publishing or otherwise distributing materials found in the Library’s collections. <\/strong>Please advise PMSS if you need assistance with these guidelines.\u00a0<\/p>\n

All files must credit Pine Mountain Settlement School Archive, Pine Mountain, KY.<\/em><\/p>\n

Files intended for commercial use (publication) will be supplied in high-resolution format (tif). Images may not be cropped, re-sized, or altered from the original supplied image unless written permission is secured from Pine Mountain Settlement School.<\/p>\n

All fees are subject to the KY 6% sales tax. The tax will be added to your total. Non-profit requests will be assessed and should include the non-profit ID # number on the request form.<\/p>\n

Non-PMSS produced photography<\/strong>:\u00a0 All outside photographers must read and sign the PMSS Photography of Objects in Collections Form. Permission to photograph objects does not imply permission to publish\/reproduce such materials. Researchers\/photographers must submit a completed Collections Duplication Request and are responsible for payments and compliance with all applicable fees and conditions.<\/p>\n

Photographs that do not have a clear association as a “work for hire”<\/strong> at PMSS may need additional permission. It is the responsibility of the user to pursue and secure these additional rights where they are found to exists. In all cases, it is the researcher’s obligation to determine and satisfy copyright or other use restrictions when publishing or otherwise distributing materials found in the Library’s collections.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Any use of material must properly cite Pine Mountain Settlement School in the following manner:<\/p>\n
