December 4, 1954<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Burton Rogers<\/a> writes about last year’s need for more class space and the current improvements. He uses the “Discovery Shelf” as an example, for which there is now space. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Last winter [the teachers] dreamed and measured and drew plans and came up with a scheme to move partitions in two buildings,” <\/em>doubling the space for each class. … “During the summer the maintenance crew moved partitions and installed plumbing.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, Rogers, after three years of drought, tells of the effort to reconstruct the mountain-side reservoir<\/a> to assure an unfailing water supply. He describes the undertaking that was completed in two months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to these extra-budgetary expenses, Rogers states that the school is operating with a deficit and asks for assistance in removing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
